The Toronto Blue Jays concluded the season in grand fashion -- they won the Beyond the Ivy World Series. They nailed it down at Skydome by whipping the Houston Astros 5-3 to win it all. They took the series 4-2.

Their motto for the season was "Win or Die Trying".

"They never let up and they never stopped trying the whole season," Blue Jays GM Bill Akin proudly told reporters. "They hustled and fought the whole season and it continued in the playoffs. They are a very special bunch of guys."

To get their 2nd league crown, the Blue Jays finished up the regular season in the American League East with a 106-56 record, ending up in first place in the division standings.

Well the Regular Season has come to  an end and the Rangers can rejoice in the fact that once again, Amadis Torres is the AL Batting Champ! How did your team do?

Another Ranger injured, as this week we lose our leadoff guy, Rod Collins for the rest of the regular season. We're 11.5 games out and 8 out of the wildcard. Back to the drawing board. How did your team do?

As the Florida Marlins prepare for a crucial 3-game homestand versus the Philadelphia Phillies, the Marlins' affiliates are caught up in playoffs of their own.  The Marlins hold the second best record in the Majors (87-46) but remain 6.5 games behind the unstoppable Phillies in the NL East...good thing for us there's a Wild Card race.  The entire Marlins organization is enjoying success in 2021, with the exception of one group of non-performers.

Albuquerque Isotopes:  The defending PCL Champions fell just 1 game short of Round Rock in the American South division, but an 8-2 finish to the season has forced a 1 game playoff against the New Orleans Zephyrs for the PCL Wildcard.

Carolina Mudcats:  The Mudcats took the Southern League North division easily, winning the pennant with a 9 game lead over the Huntsville Stars.  The Cats take on the defending AA Champion Corpus Christi Hooks.

Greensboro Grasshoppers:  For the third consecutive year, the Hoppers are in the playoffs.  The 2019 Single A Champions squeeked by the Hagerstown Suns, finishing the season 7-3, while the Suns fell to 5-5 during the last sim.

Jamestown Jammers:   The Jammers lost the New York-Penn League Pennant by just 1 game to the Doubledays, but made an impressive run.  The Jammers went 9-1 during the last sim, winning the last 5 games in a row.  This was good enough to put the Jammers into the playoffs for the Short Season A Wildcard.  Jamestown finished the season with the second best record in all of Short Season A (59-23), behind only the defending champion Auburn Doubledays (60-22).

Gulf Coast Marlins:   The only Marlins affiliate to not make the playoffs in 2021 were the Gulf Coast Marlins.  Although their 57-25 record was impressive, they finished behind the Mesa Cubs and GC Nationals in both the league standings and wild card race.  16 of the 24 players were released and the entire coaching staff was fired immediately following the season.  Subsequently, the strength and conditioning coach was shot on site.  Funeral services will be held Friday, September 3rd.

This is disappointing. We're still 11.5 games out. 4.5 out of the wildcard. There is a bright spot though........we play two series' against the Indians before the regular season ends! Also, like clockwork, Amadis Torres has positioned himself in 1st place for the batting title again. This year it took him a little longer to climb to the top of the list, but you knew it was just a matter of time..... How did your team do?

We've made a bunch of deadline deals that should put us into position to make a run in the second half of the season. Unfortunately, only 1 of the players acquired made it onto the roster for the last sim because I was too lazy to give Phil pre-sim instructions (or the cpu thinks the players I acqured suck) . However, we will be ready for tomorrow's sim with a brand new lineup and pitching staff! How did your team do?

Within 5 games now and I'm starting to think that this team might be poised for a run. We've got a couple guys coming back from injuries and I've shuffled some of the deadwood out of the Majors, in the hopes that giving the young guys a shot at The Show will pay dividends. Congrats to SP A. Echeverria, 1B A. Torres, and RF R. Collins on making the All Star game. How did your team do???
